Hello all,
I have a 641 that has a leaking rear seal (inner). I ordered the new seal and also new brakes. The I&T manual I have leaves a lot to be desired in how to change the seal. I have the hub off, but how do I get to the inner axle seal? Basically what I am asking is how do I remove the brakes and get to the seal? I've read some about it but I cant find anything on step by step removal of the parts to get to it.
Do I need to unbolt the 7/8" bolts on the back of the housing to remove the hub/brakes?
Is there an axle nut (mine has what appears to be a solid metal "shield" where an axle nut would be, does that remove?) to loosen first?
Does anyone have a detailed diagram of the rear hub/brakes/etc?
Thanks for all your help. I have scoured the internet to try to find out how to do this and cant find out how to proceed.
