Ford 3000 ran dry, trying to bleed air

Been reading on here for a while, first time posting. I searched and read quite a few fuel-related threads.

The fuel pump and filters were replaced on this tractor 3 or 4 years ago. It only gets used a few hours a summer for mowing and a little plowing.

I was plowing today and unfortunately ran dry of fuel. So I put in 5 gallons and it still doesn't want to start. After doing some reading I opened two screws on top of the fuel filters. Nothing came out at first, then bubbles, then a steady stream. Then I opened the bleeder on the pump and cranked it over til I had a steady stream. Then I opened the three bolts on top of the injectors. After several 15-20 second cranks still nothing came out.

Looking for some input on what to do. I can get fuel filters tomorrow and see if that helps. But I was able to get fuel in the bleeders on top of the filters so I guess they aren't completely clogged. Surely I don't need a new fuel pump this soon. Thanks for any input.

Here are the bleeders I opened.

You need to loosen the nuts that attach the lines to the injectors. I think they are 5/8"
Loosen all 3 of them then crank it over again.
You should see them start to drip a bit of fuel.
Then tighten them and it should start.
The ones you loosened are the leak off lines.
Didn't hurt anything but not the right ones.

You need to loosen the line nuts going to the injectors from the pump, not the top return banjo fittings. Take all three line nuts loose about 1/2 turn, then crank engine with throttle about 1/3 open and fuel stop on. When you see air free fuel at each injector tighten the line nuts and start the engine.

Sure enough, bled the injectors correctly and it fired right up!
Thanks for the help. This was my grandpa's tractor and I want
to keep it running a long time.
