Turning fuel up 3910

On a non-turbo engine, turning up the fuel pretty
much just increases fuel use and smoke...it doesn't
make much more power.

Pump spec cards show three pumps used, post the complete 323 # and I'll check the fuel setting code. Very late models were set a bit higher than the early engines.

Yes, it can probably be tweaked a bit. Making an actual fuel delivery adjustment would require moving the cam plates in the pump. However, if
the high idle on that tractor is limited to 2000 rpm... then you may gain a little bit by letting the high idle out to 2300 or so. I don't
remember if the 3910 had the slower speed or not.... but the 3930 did... and I always found with ours that it had as much low end torque as
the 4000 series tractors but lacked the top end power... so I let the high idle out on it and I think it made a bit more power at the top end
and improved it's torque rise a bit. It just doesn't make any more peak torque.

I'm surprised the 3930's shorter stroked 192 would have the bottom end torque a 4000's longer stroked 201 would have.
That said I am getting ready to put a 3930 engine on my 4500, but all I do with it is move round bales, pulled the 740 loader off and put a lighter Farm Hand loader on.

Early 3930's had the 201..... derated. Later were 192's with a short period where, IIRC, they also had a turbo.
The early 3930 probably won't pull with a 4630 (55 hp) just by winding up the high idle but it will pull with a 4000 (50 hp).

Ok did some searching.
It appears the 3910 only came with the 192 na engine
3930 came with three different engines, 90-94 derated 201, 94-98 192 na, 99- 192 turbo
4630 90-95 201, 96- 192 turbo
The 3930 I'm parting out is a 97 with 192 na.
