Front Mounted Hyd Pump on a Ford 841 Questions

I have a 1959 841 with a Fasco FEL on it. It currently uses the tractor hyd pump to operate the loader. I would like to add a front mount pump when I install new DA cylinders.

I have found a drive shaft adapter for the crank on this site. My search for a drive shaft shows the Ford shaft to be a clever (3) piece unit to overcome any pump and crank misalignment. I would suspect it would be difficult to obtain and/or expensive. I believe the OEM part is also splined.

I would appreciate advice, comments, P/Ns for a suitable shaft and pump (10GPM) max for loader and rear mtd equipment. Do I need a flex coupling at the pump end if I use keyed pump or is a splined pump better?

I will construct a weldment to mount the pump and attach to the front of the tractor.

The FEL has a full length underbody frame of rectangular tubing attached to the mtg points on the rear axle and the front of the tractor. Fasco attached the pump mtg bracket to the front of the underbody frame.

I have a 841S with a loader on it and at both ends if the drive there is a flex couple of sorts to take up aliment problems. If you do not have one you need a special pulley that has threaded holes for the coupler to bolt to so you likely to have to pull the front end of the tractor off to install the crank pulley. I have had this tractor since the early 80s and it has power steering which is also pretty much a host have with a loader

The factory pulley on the tractor has the bolt holes for the coupling. just remove the ones in the pulley and use longer bolts. I have 3 fords with loaders, all are ford loaders , a 640, 641 and a 841. You should be able to use the factory shaft and coupling. I know Sparix has them.
you will need a reservoir ford the hydraulic fluid.
