Looks like my tractor. How did you determine the date of manufacter from those numbers? My numbers at that same location are:
C10230
9MO4B
C257327
Can you determine the date of manufacter from those numbers if so please let me know.
 
9M04B is the unit number, which is a date code. 9 =1969 M = December (I is not used) 04 = 4th day of the month B = second shift.
Are you sure your model number is right? C1023C would be a 3000 all-purpose, gas, 8-speed; with live PTO.
 
Thanks a million for the info, always thought it was a 70 year model for some reason. Yea, the model number is correct, it is a 3000 just as you described. Just realized your tractor is a 4000. Hope you and the tractor have many more birthdays.
