640 Ford Tractor 4 cyclinder. I can turn to the right without a problem. When I turn to the left - it sticks. What can I do t correct this problem?

Maybe bearings on the steering wheel shaft. There is one at the bottom of the shaft and one at the top. Top one has a habit of disintegrating and jamming up the works.
