Lift pump weak? Ford 650

My lift pump doesn't pick up my bush hog unless I rev the motor up a good bit. Can't really say what rpms as my proofmeter is out. The top cover and piston have been rehabbed and re-sealed so they should be good. Is this symptomatic of a tired pump?

Have you put a pressure gauge on the top cover option port and see what pressure it is developing?

No. Very unfortunately I do not have a pressure gauge. The lift works well at higher rpms. Just not at idle or in the lower rpms. I've ordered a new proofmeter and pump kit.

A flow and pressure test would really be advised..

I would have bought a pressure gauge for
25 bucks before I bought a rebuild kit,
but each to there own ways.
