I have some questions about the control valve and a few other things. I have the Ford 55-60 shop manual.

Does the control valve have a gasket between the upper and lower bodies or are they a machined fit?

Also, if you remove the complete control valve and replace for adjusting pressure valves, do you replace the gasket or re-use the old one? (the shop manual only states not to lose the gasket upon removal of valve).

It will be a bit before I can start working on the tractor. I just want to start getting my ducks in a row well before I start on it.

It's a machined fit.

Use a new one.
