Ford 8630 Transmission - Help!

Just looking around this site at a friend?s suggestion and see a lot of great information. I was hoping I could post this and possibly get some troubleshooting information on a Ford 8630. I know that?s not an antique, yet, but am at my wits end. I have done a few searches but not coming up with much. The tractor has started ?jumping? out of gear at random times. It happens only in reverse and happens in any of the reverse speeds (multiple speed clutches). It doesn?t always throw a code. Half the time it just stops moving and the reverse gear stays displayed. I can leave it there for several seconds and the tractor will not move, when I put it back in neutral and reverse again sometimes it will work, sometimes will go for a second and do the same thing. Other times it does throw a code. I have written these codes down before and searched them out unsing the service manual with no luck ? everything checks good.
I want to say it is worse when running higher rpms and after it has been running awhile, but not positive about either one of those, may be perception. It is sporadic and not predictable, sometimes it does fine.
This winter I removed the transmission wiring harness completely and went through it. I found one bad ground ?joint? and reworked it, also replaced a bulkhead connector which was loose (I was able to reach back and tug on this connector before and cause a similar issue while the tractor was in gear). It seemed to work better now (fixed some rpm display issues) but the issue I mentioned above still remains. Also replaced the inching pedal pot.
I have not pulled the reversing solenoid valve out, or replaced the reversing solenoid coil, but thought this might be the next step. Of course would hate to replace the transmission computer, but would also hate to replace it and it not be the issue.
Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Sorry for the length of the post.

That is an earlier version of the Genesis transmission, in my understanding. It would be different only in wideness of the ratio between F1 and F2 clutches. It would be helpful to know what fault codes it throws when it throws some.

With the info you've been able to provide, it tends to make me think you're looking at an electrical issue somewhere from the CCM to the Reverse Clutch solenoid. If you have not verified that the reverse clutch solenoid is energized when it acts up, that's where I'd start. Make certain the tractor cannot move while performing this test. Your safety is more important than diagnosing the tractor!!!

Thanks. The two codes it most recently showed were A11 and H6, but it has shown others and I can't remember what they were. I'm not sure how to monitor that solenoid? would I use some kind of current meter or is this where I would need to rig up pressure gauges to the manifold on the side of the transmission?

If the solenoid is engaged it should be magnetized. A small steel wrench or screwdriver should be held captive by it.

had this problem to but only in forword f12 when disking .changed two solinoids worked for the spring, then happend again in the fall ended up tobe the tcm. computer $1200 ..$3500 in total has worked good for three years now.
