Ford 801 hydralics

I have a 1958 ford 801, bought recently, and the 3pt hitch won't lift, have rebuilt the pump, cleaned out the entire system and still no joy, I have
narrowed it down to a unloading valve, I determine this by gasket ing across the drain tube and turning the starter, key off, and watched the
arms lift, but I can't find anyplace to purchase one, without buying the whole cylinder Assm , any ideas out there in the ford forum world?

eldom is the unloader valve replaced, just cleaned & new 'O' ring as needed.

If you already have or had the gasket/o-ring kit for it you had the part you needed. A simple o-ring is all you need once to pull the unloader valve out. BTDT and not at al la hard to do fix

Thanks, that is the next step, just waiting for the new gasket set, tore this last one up the last time I took the top off.

To remove the unloader valve you have to use a bolt of the correct size to screw into it and then pull it out. Should fit in in such a way or sort of floats so it moves easy. Also pretty much any time you pull the lift cover off you need to replace the gasket or it s very likely it will leak due the the high pressure of the hyd system

When I pulled my valve I had a 3/8ths x 24 bolt welded to a,nut that I could screw my slide hammer into. Worked very well.

(quoted from post at 21:43:18 04/06/16) Joy! Got the valve out, it was stuck in open position, clean the tunnel an the valve, and wala it works
ood deal! Enjoy success! :)
