Would you please give me the paint codes you use for a 1955 era 960? Thanks, I want to make sure I get the right red and gray.

Over the years I have used

BPS, Valspar, then recently magic and nason.

In each case I simply used their 'ford red'

Which by the way is the orangy red, not the red red.

For my 2n , a Ferguson grey, and most of my others got the ford med grey in those lines, or new Holland white for the later models.

Sorry I don't have mix codes to give you.

In each case I used the premixed paints. Even the case ironguard paint I used for the ih/ farmall was pre mixed.

I used Persian orange on my Allis, and JD grn/yellow, in the deere

'55 era red is also called vermilion as opposed to the orange red of the XX1s the gray is also the same as 8Ns, it changed for the XX1s as well. I don't use codes either. If I want an exact match I will take a part that has not likely discolored like the underside of the battery box and get it digitally reproduced.

Very sharp 961, Showcrop! The paint is beautiful and although those shades of red and gray are not technically 'correct' for this fellows
960, they would look really nice on the earlier model, just my opinion. SouNdguy's advice might be best if a xx1 part is not available. In my
case I just got the paint from the NH dealer. -Will

looks great,
bet they did not leave the factory looking that good,

wish I had one like it with front cultivators and some corn to plow,
that little A setting beside it was also a great cultivating tractor.

this picture shows the opposite end of your tractor, yours looks great,

this poor old tractor has been run hard and put up wet, but it does have a set of cultivators.
guess its much older as it has the older paint scheme.

The blue paint scheme is actually newer than the red, but the grill on that one shows that it is an earlier one with a blue makeover.
