I just bought a 340 in neglected and abused shape, runs great and seems to be solid. Changed the oils and used it all day yesterday pulling a 7 foot disc (did I say it runs good?) Biggest issue I see so far is the 3-point is either up or down. If you pull the lever all the way back, it raises all the way up. If you move it forward any at all, it drops all the way down. And the levers don't stay in the middle, they fall on their own. It has the cork disks and I tightened the nut, but if you hold it in the middle it does not raise to the middle. It only raises all the way with the lever all the way. Ideas? It apparently sat for a while, fuel was full of garbage and I stopped up the filter after draining and refilling it with clean fuel. Has the 6-4 transmission which I had never used but think that I like quite a lot... has no wires or gauges on the dang thing except from the battery to a push button starter. Checked the oil pressure and it idled at 58, went to 70 with throttle. Starts immediately and does not smoke or blow by anything... Thanks.
