1969 Ford 3400 custom hydraulics/air

Hi Folks

Anyone recognize this setup? (Appears to be air connections.)

Was done by the original owner (public works), back in the 60s.

I have a relative who works at New Holland and this mod was not done by Ford (as far as we can see from the service records).

Bob, that's just an aftermarket hydraulic manifold to tap into the tractors hydraulic system to feed the valve you have mounted on the fender.
I assume you have a couple of quick couplers hanging in the back? Not Ford original but very commonly used.

Agre with JoeM.

that 100$ block plus a 100$ valve is cheaper than a 400$ valve that would bolt on the hyd cover.

As Joe said that is a vary common power beyond plate.
It will run a loader.
The loader won't be real fast as the on board pump only puts out about 4.4 gpm.
A 3400 loader would have been powered by a pump off the front of the pully. Front pump would have been about 15 gpm, maybe more.

yes sir, fittings and hoses hanging off the back.

appreciate everyone's feedback, just had no idea what this was for :)

Bob

Just a hydraulic tap plate, and no they are not air hose they are hydraulic hose, air hose wouldn't even have a chance of taking the pressure of even a low pressure hydraulic system
