Corn is planted

I only planted about three acres, but it is in the ground and sprayed. This was on Friday and Saturday. Used the 3000 to do the discing and used the Jubilee to plant with. Had to turn the tires around on it, which is always fun. I keep threatening to just buy a second one to leave one with the tires out and one with the tires in. And of course while I was getting everything ready the calves wanted to know what was going on.

Keb,
great pictures, ground looks like it worked well,
I have similar equipment to you,
however, I never have gotten my disc drag to leave the surface that smooth.
ground is wet and its still raining here in west ky,

The disc drag has been a work in progress it has been modified a few times to get it just right. The last one was to tilt it back and bolt a 1x4 to the bottom. That help smooth the ground a lot better.

We usually plant some this time of year, but now I am in south Mississippi and it is in the mid 70's here and will be in the upper 70's to lower 80's next week. Grass is growing and the fruit trees are blooming.

keb,
for got to mention, I like your way of thinking on that tire widening problem.
"just get another tractor and leave the tires in the wide position"

remember: "a man cannot have too many tools or tractors"

Looks good. My son lives in Long Beach and he was mowing lawn last weekend. If its sweet corn I will stop and get some when i am down there over Memorial Day.

No vegetable or fodder crops being planted here yet.
I just hand broadcast some snow seeds here the other day and am expecting they will produce our usual bumper crop yet in March.
Nice old tractors and equipment.
I always like the photos.
