It will probably still be considered a 1970 when it comes to ordering parts, as most production years start mid point of the previous year so that they will have stock on hand Jan 1 of the Model Year.

Tractordata.com is wrong almost as much as they are right.

The New Holland Parts Site claims the 9000 was made from 1/69 through 12/78.

The 8000 was introduced in '68, the 9000 in '69. If your serial number or unit number says it's a '69, it IS a '69.

Ford parts are based on build date not serial number. Like Sean says, if the unit code indicates 1969, that's what it is.

(quoted from post at 14:13:53 02/10/16) where were they built ?

I think they were built in Holland, Michigan. But I could be wrong. Ford had a wierd way with serial numbers.

Holland? I would have thought Highland Park or Romeo. But I could easily be wrong. Michigan is right, though. I don't think any of them were made at Basildon or Antwerp.

Yep I bet you are right. I was thinking Holland because I have a friend that lives in Holland haha. I am thinking it is Highland Park as well.
