Missing the shift knob on my 1992 Ford 3930. Looked thru parts and couldn't find a replacement. Any thoughts or anything else that will fit? Thanks

Have you measured the thread?

I've bought replacement generic knobs that have a parent thread in the knob, and a brass reducer bushing in it, giving you 2 thread choices.

I was just looking for 3 replacement knobs for an AC road grader we had. I couldn't find any SAE thread knobs anywhere unless I
wanted to pay $25 a knob. Bought a bag of 5 metric thread knobs (available online everywhere) for $6 delivered and just drilled
and tapped them to the 1/2" NC thread I needed.

You could drill and tap a Qball from wally world for $4.00. Thats what I did when someone stole my
stock gear shift knob from my geo storm.Fits my hand real nice
