861 w/ Elenco

The selectospeed may hurt the value, but he may get his reserve. From what I've seen, the prices for Elencos have dropped. Have they
bottomed out? Time will tell. I'll be watching this auction. I've seen a couple local to me sell for less than they did a few years back.

It's a 881 like the 871 but with 2 PTO speeds(540 and 1000) and a ground speed PTO. I have not see to many *81 over the years. Had the chance to purchases a 1881 but it was just to far away.

Sorry I just look at it again and it is a 871 (last picture shows and 71 above the serial number and the shifters for the ground PTO and 2 speed PTO are not present). I'm not sure what he means in the ad by "Two Speed PTO" cause the 871 does not have a 2 speed PTO.

Interesting. Pie weight plates but no weights.
Rims from ?? "Restored". I hope he got his money back.
I would not have gone anywhere near that $10K mark.

(quoted from post at 20:15:13 02/08/16) Or is it an 871 with the SOS?

It is a model 881 tractor if it does have the dual speed PTO like the seller states in the ebay listing. 801 is the series. 871 and 881 are individual models within the series.

Looks like it sold last night for $10,000.00 even. I think that's a little high, but it must be worth it to whoever placed that winning bid.

For that kind of $ you're getting into the
range of a 3910 or 3930 with fwa or a 250C
or 545, etc also with fwa.
No question but that I would take the newer
machine. Not sure of the model #s but you
get my drift.

The rear rims are 24 inch. The pie weight mounting plate is covering the entire center of the rim. There may no pie weights mounted to the plate as the regular weights will not fit on the mounting plate inside of a 24 inch rim.
