OT - AC Project

For those that remember, last winter I started working on a small AC lawnmower for my daughter's boyfriend.

Just finished it today with the new decals, and delivered it to him this afternoon, they both loved the work.

Was a leisure project, but I am happy with how it turned out. I would work on it in between working on my 4000, Dad's 2N and My Son's Mustang.

Your project turned out great! What type of paint did you use?

VanSickle AC Orange, It is in between Persian Orange and Persian Orange 2, And its a gloss paint.

I tried several different brands and settled on that, If I do another Orange project though, I will use the air gun instead of rattle cans though. There was just so many small parts to paint, that cans seemed like a better idea.

The hardest part of the project was locating a grill that

A. Hadn't been broken, they are plastic.
B. Hadn't been modified to fit bigger lights, since the originals are hard to find now.

Got very lucky and spotted one in a friends back yard, he must have had 20 mowers back there, and one was one of these lil AC's, so for $50 we had a parts mower.
