12106 Distribotor cap

Retired farmer who is my neighbor gave me a NOS Ford distributor cap that is red in color and the box says part number: E1JL-12106-AA. Neighbor said he used to have a 800 and this was supposed to fit an 800 series tractor. I checked my 1953-1959 Master parts catalog and only came up with an NCA-12106-A as a number for the distributor cap, very close match except for the E1JL number at the first of the part number and the extra A on the end.

Saw this very same cap advertised on e-bay a week or so ago and the person who listed it said it was for an NAA or model 600. Does any one know where I could cross reference it any farther or if it fits an NAA up to an 800 series tractor?

Thanks in advance for the help, I am always amazed at the knowledge that exists of these boards and the way everyone helps each other out, just the real backbone of agriculture in our world.

The first two characters in the E1JL at the beginning means that that part number was either designed or first used in 1971, and the J says that it was designed for the Industrial Engines division, and the L says that it was designed by the Industrial Engines Operations group. So that part number is likely the distributor cap for the Industrial versions of the 192 and 172 ci red tiger engines, which means that it should also fit the 172 ci engines in the 800/900/801/901 and prior 4000 series tractors, as well as the 134 ci engine in the NAA/600/601/5700/701 and prior 2000 series.
