Nice looking tractor. The chains are great for plowing. I plowed for one winter with a similar setup, but no chains and got stuck once. Never did get a set of chains, switched to a snowblower.

Nice looking rig.
I used that setup on my 3000.
Back up to the garage, drop the back blade and pull the snow out then back up and push it with the front snow plow.
Works great.

I do the same but at my age foot could slip off of the clutch i take the snowblower and get the snow about 3ft from the garage door and then use tractor. We have had 4ft of snow this winter in SW Colorado more on the way today.

I had that same plow on a '64 4000 and on the flat, with just chains on, it did a fine job of snowplowing, just use care when getting into the bank so as not to get the front end hung up. My friend has that set up for his 640, but has not used it. I'd have liked to have the rear blade on along with the front blade, good combination and you have chains on, bet it works very well for you.
