I got this 850 about a 57 model for parts. Was curious about value. It has the front axle/support,engine,5sp tranny lift cover assembly, rear axle assembly and some low profile front wheels and turf tires. I ran this tractor many years ago when it was still run-able. It ran good for a while and then would overheat and start missing and sputtering. Guy that had it decided to part it out and eventually,I ended up with it. I'll get some pics today and post em.

There are a lot of parts on that tractor that are worth a good amount of money. The things I can not keep in stock are cylinder heads, hydraulic pumps, push rods, and too many other parts to list. If you have the time and knowledge taking the tractor apart and selling the parts you will do ok. Take it from somebody who has over 6000 sq ft of parts, it's not easy work or fast money.
I'm assuming you won't be doing this as a business so you would have lots of advantages over a business that needs to pay taxes and overhead.
As the tractor sits, I'd pay $500 for it but it certainly is worth a lot more in parts if you put some effort forth.

Thanks for the info and thoughts. I originally stripped it down for my friend when he decided to part it out. The sheet metal and power steering was the first to go followed by the ag tires. the front tires and wheels that are on it now came off an old Massey Ferguson LCG that was used to pull a mower. As I remember, the tranny worked good and the rear end also was alright. It's been quite a few years since it has ran. I haven't had it that long myself.
