Oring size for fuel shut off valve

Trying to get Viton o-ring for 640 fuel shut off
valve before I tear in to it. Any body know o-ring
ASA "dash" number or dimensions? Cross section and
OD or ID would be good. thanks

Valve to tank -018, stem looks like -011 size. Hope this helps.

if yours is bendix like my 640 I just rebuilt mine this weekend, send me your address and I will mail you 1 of each, had to buy a pack of each from local hydraulic supplier, figurered out to be about 7 cents a apiece. Mark

i get mine out of one of them nitrile multi pack kits.

been working good.. no leaks on any I've rebuilt in the last couple years.

same generic kit rings are also in a couple diesel valves on my larger tractors too.. one set been there since biodiesel blend hit here in florida and all the orings dissolved overnight one day..

Installed a buna-N, or nitrile a couple of years ago when I replaced the tank. I think the ethanol got to it. That's why I'm going to try Viton. I may try Kalrez if Viton don't last. I work for a very large fluid sealing company, that helps. If I can be of any help with gaskets and seals, just ask.

so far I've had no problems with ethanol and nitrile rings..you aren't in an e85 area are you?

Number on my valve body to tank 018 and on needle/screw 008 , were at least 2 different valves on 600 series HTH

I no longer have a parts book for your tractor. Do you know the Ford part number for the O-ring. I probably have the section width and min and max I.D.
