861 Powermaster starter problems

had starter rebuilt, now it will not engage flywheel. i can hear the starter spinning. any ideas? or suggestions? thanks

faulty starter drive or bad ring gear.

ring gear looks good. should replace starter drive or
just buy new starter?

ok. ive never done that. any special tools involved? thats just held on by a pin right?

just need to be able to compress the spring enough to remove/replace the pin. It's been awhile, but I don't recall needing anything special to get that spring compressed.

All the starters we have had rebuilt had the drive replaced, was it rebuilt by a company?

local business. i took it back to them. they checked it out and said everything was good. somethings not right though
