Lift arm ball height

On a properly adjusted and operating 3pt hitch, in position mode with the position lever at the bottom of the quadrant, what is the normal height from the ground to the center of the ball socket? What is the normal height from the ground to the center of the ball socket when the lift is in fully raised position? I have just rebuilt and adjusted the NAA hydraulics and the lift is at different positions than previously. I want to make sure the is new positions are right and the old condition positions, that I was use to, were erroneous.

Thank you. Without this site I would have been lost on how to properly repair and maintain my wonderful tractor. There is certainly a great wealth of knowledge here.

(quoted from post at 19:50:25 12/10/15) I don't have the numbers you want so will just
try to make it more confusing for you. Wink.
It will depend on what size tires you have.

Thank you. Point taken. I have 12.4X28.

Full height: you should be able to manually raise the rockshaft a small amount by hand (tractor shut off) from full lift. This means the valve is moving to 'hold' before the internal lift linkage bottoms out against the rear axle center section housing.

Full drop: the rockshaft arms generally are nearly exactly horizontal.

Wherever your hitch balls are located relative to these rockshaft positions depends on several variables. There is no standard set of dimensions to answer your questions.

I looked in my NAA owners manual and it gives no reference as to how high or low the arms should be

thank you RickB. My arms are nearly horizontal with the pins even with the load spring and as you described. Ever since I had the tractor the arms went so far down the axle trumpets acted as the stop. I can celebrate that my lift is operating as it is supposed to.
