ford 801 Hydraulics selector lever & Touch Control Lever

I have a 1957 Ford 801 Tractor. I replaced all the o rings except the control valve. Cannot get it out. Same problem occurs as before. When I push the Touch Control lever up nothing happens. While it is up and I just move the selector lever a little bit the lift arms move up. Same problem as before. Haven't put a mower on it yet, but before the arms moved down due to the weight. Has anyone seen this problem.

Did you replace the cam follower pin and adjust the draft and position control linkage using the alternative procedures (special tools not needed) in the I&T FO-20 manual?

No I didn't. Why does that have to be replaced? The FO-20 manual? What does the cam follower pin have to do with this problem? I have a shop manual, and it doesn't get into any of this. I am new on this tractor.

You do not need special tools if you follow the alternative procedures in the FO-20 manual as suggested below.

Using the procedures in the Ford service manual will require special tools.

The symptons that you describe indicate a badly worn cam follower pin. You must readjust the draft and position control linkage after replacing the pin.

I cannot find any of the special tools. What are the procedures without them?

The answer is still the same as when Dean already gave it to you.

that's why we are telling you to replace the pin and then re-adjust.

think of it as mechanical positional feedback for the hyds ...

The 3-point works great. All I have to do is push the lever down a little bit. Holds heavy equip even when I shut the tractor off. I will fix the problem later when I decide to sell it. Have 5 tractors. Using two diesels, and selling 3 gas tractors. Thanks for all your help.
