Anyone have a diagram to wire a alternator on a 1964 Diesel 4000? Didn't find one in Archives. Thanks.

a 4 cyl diesel 4000 can be wired like a diesel hundred series. IE.. 801diesel.( or 601... etc..e tc.. )
you are pretty much just loosing the genny and regulator.
wire from old gen armature goes to alt charge stud. tie arm and bat connections together where the reg used to be.
if it is a 1 wire alt.. that's it.
if it is a 3 wire, then jump #2 to charge stud at alt.
then find the charge indicator lamp wire and run it to #1. IE. power from key on / off, thru lamp to #1.. thus at key on, lamp lights, after engine start and over 400 rpm, lamp out, alt starts charging.
remember to check to make sure bat polarity is neg grnd. Sohould already be 12v neg grnd
