4000 3 cyl diesel pressure test

Trying to test hydraulic pump pressure. IT manual says remove accessory plate and turn it 180 degrees and reinstall. My tractor has auxillary remotes, and not enough clearance to turn it around. Any way I can over come this, or is there an easier way to test the pressure?

Just hook the gauge to one of the hoses and
pull the handle. Dont hold it long as you
will be deadheading the pump.

on that model the system is rated around 2175 psi,,, the safety/check valve opens around 2100 and then the gauge will vibrate around 1900 lbs at about 1500 rpms...

bad pumps might show good for a few seconds and then drop to 1200 lbs or lower. When very cold they will show good for almost a minute or two and then show bad. When warm they show bad right away.
