Ford 2000 year 1963 does it have live pto. I am sure it has live hydraulics, but not sure on pto. Tractor data says yes but they may be talking 1965 & above.Thanks for any info.

live pto only with high clutch pedal and five speed trans

maybe, If it has 5 speed it should be LPTO if four speed maybe not. If you can look at it, see if where the rod from the pedal to the arm on the shaft that goes into the transmission goes through the arm, if there are two holes for the rod. If two it is live, if one it is not.

Five speed transmission: Live PTO;

Four speed transmission: Non Live PTO;

S-O-S transmission: Independent PTO.

I'll add that the 5spd/live pto is only a 'for sure' thing if it is the original 5 speed. if someone swapped the 5 out of say.. and 851, then it would be a non live 5 spd.
