Ford 6000 serial number

Just acquired a Ford 6000 and serial number is 122805. The number stamped just above the serial number is 62015E I'm wondering the year and also whether this tractor was one of the Commanders. The decals on the hood are long gone. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

62015E as the model number indicates that it was made after the 3 cylinder 2000/3000/4000 series came out. The 620 at the beginning says that it's a 6000 series row crop chassis. The 1 says that it has a diesel engine. The 5 says that it has the deluxe 2 speed 540/1000 rpm independent PTO and the E at the end says that it has the Select-o-Speed transmission, which all 6000's had.

Is that 122805 all of the serial number? Is there a letter "C" at the beginning? The earlier serial numbers that would have coincided with the 4 cylinder 2000/4000 series never went that high, and the serial numbers for the 3 cylinder thousand series that were in that range would have had a letter at the beginning, but maybe they didn't do that on the 6000's, but anyway, if it was made after the 3 cylinder series started production, that serial number should be a late 1965 model, which should make it one of the blue "Commander" 6000's.

Thanks for the info. In answer to your question, the 122805 is all that is between the two diamonds. I just got the tractor home and don't have the manual (which I intend to order later tonight), but it has a problem with the hydraulics. The man I bought it from said they were working when he stopped the tractor and he came back a few days later and nothing, no brakes, power steering, remotes, and the three point arms won't go down. Since neither one of us knew much about the tractor (he didn't have a manual either), I'm hoping that there might be a simple reason, other than pump going out,etc. Do you have any idea what the problem might be? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Is there another number close by that looks something like 5f23 also?

The lift arms stuck in the up position could be the unloader valve is stuck closed.

Where is that unloader valve and how do I go about unsticking it?

From what I understand, the hydraulics on that 6000 are a bit different from the other Ford tractors of that time period, and I'm not familiar with them, so hopefully someone who is will chime in.
