Loader remote accomplished

Well after many questions to the fine folks here, I finally installed a new loader valve and front remotes for our grapple on my 545. The grapple works well and after testing there are only a few minor tweaks that need to be made.

I ran out of time this trip to get the backhoe running but that should be pretty easy since the power beyond valve is already installed.

I also replace the rear remote hoses with banjo fitting which eliminated the adapters on adapters I was using. Dad lost the key for the tractor so I get a new ignition switch from CNH. I tried a cheapo one from eBay but the spring was super tight. We found the key the day after installed the CNH switch. Never fails....

Anyways that all works and I verified the thermostart works. Power steering, transmission, and rear end fluids were changed along with the filters where applicable. The tranny and rear were super nasty and the rear was low but it hasn't been used much since I bought it. All is good now though, no odd noise before/after.

A couple of notes on the pictures. The big ugly coil of hose on top of the valve is for the bucket curl which is OEM steel line that ends very close to the valve. The coil gives slack as not to put stress on the steel lines or hose fittings. Any ideas on how to improve are more than welcome because it looks awful.

For the rear remote, there is a bulge in the crimp fitting that prevents me from running the lines any other way.

Looks great. If you're going to add a backhoe, you might consider plumbing the hoe before the loader in the power beyond configuration. Most backhoes have a higher relief valve pressure setting than most loaders, and if you put the loader first, the backhoe will be limited by the lower relief valve setting on the loader, so it won't be able to dig as hard as it might otherwise.

I do not see a power beyond block , only the standard ford remote valve... good work!... A back hole will normally run off of a front pump as it need a much bigger pump to work.

sotxbill, I believe that the loader is already running off of a front pump and it is only the grapple that he added that is running off of the remote valve. His comment about the power beyond, I believe referred to the loader valve that he has installed.

That's correct Sean, crankshaft hydraulic pump for the loader. The rear remote is like any other similar Ford over the years. I replaced the OEM loader valve with the third function loader valve. There is a power beyond port on that valve that I will use to run the backhoe.

How would the Power Beyond be hooked up prior to the loader valve? I prefer to not buy anything else since I have all the parts already. I just ran out of time.

The backhoe control valve would have to have power beyond capability, and then you would run the loader control valve in open center mode without power beyond.
