Ford NAA Brake Issue Clutch Issue

I have recently put my tractor back together after replacing two gears in the transmission. Upon putting it back together, I have two problems.

#1) I have notices that when I push down the left side brake pedal and release it, the pedal will not come back to the top position. The brake pedal on the right side
will come up, but not all the way. I suspect a spring or something is worn and needs replacing. Is this the case? If not, what?

#2) I have had an ongoing issue with my clutch. The clutch bearing doesn't touch the clutch fingers until the pedal is almost to the floor. I have the clutch pad on
right. I have replaced the fork, pin holding the fork, springs and clutch bearing. The adjustment bolt cannot be adjusted any further. Is there something else I can do or
check to solve this problem?

Check the Clutch Arm Release. I know from experience that they are prone to crack. They sell replacements on this YT site if needed. Look it over carefully on the bottom side where the end that attaches to the clutch shaft. I hope this is helpful to you solving this problem.

1) Without actually seeing it, I would guess you are correct on your brake return springs being tired.

2) I'm not sure what you mean by "clutch pad on the right"??? Barring a strange understanding of that nomenclature, are you certain all the new parts are correct for your tractor?

That's the problem jjinga. Got on the floor in the barn and looked at the underside of the clutch release arm. Got a big old crack in it! Thank you very much. Now gotta figure out how to get the old one off and order another one from here.

I should have said friction disc. I try to proofread my stuff before posting. Apparently my proofreading failed.

The key keeps the pedal from moving on the shaft, right? I cannot see a key. All I see is a pin. Cannot remember if the pin goes through the shaft or not. As far as I can see, it is just a simple matter of driving the roll pin out one way or the other or is this wrong?

Okay, after doing a bit more research. I am now familiar with what a roll pin is. I don't believe the pin I have is a roll pin. It is solid at both ends. Hope this better helps you!

The pin can be solid, it about 5 yrs. ago and my old-timers isn't always clear on details. Knock out the pin and the arm should slide off shaft will gentle coaxing. The key will keeps the arm in place.

I don't see a key on the release arm. If there were a key, I should see a slot for it at the end of the shaft, right? I tried tapping the pin toward the front of the tractor. That bugger didn't move a millimeter. I am thinking that I may need to drill the pin out. If there is a way to salvage the pin, though, I'd like to go that route first. I cannot tap the pin toward the back of the tractor as there is little to no room to do this.

My bad. there is not a key. Try heating shaft around the pin with a torch and then knock on the pin. that should loosen it.

after much torching and banging, torching and banging, banging and MORE banging (oh wait, I almost forgot plenty of drilling of the pin also), I finally got the pin out! Installed the new arm and a 5/16 hardened bolt to replace the pin. OMG, the clutch pedal is WAY better now! About ready to get the rest of the stuff put back on the tractor to try out the transmission parts I replaced. Oh, btw, the brakes, as it turns out, aren't an issue. Had one of the bolts tightened too tight.
