I was just wondering smooth down the burs and good to go. Or replace the entire shaft. Really don't have the money, time, and equipment to replace it.

I would want to know what happened and why
before making a recommendation. Also what
does that run in, ball bearing should be ok
assuming the bearing is replaced, bronze
bushing a little more uncertain, needle
bearing running on that shaft won't last
for sure.

I have tried one time to run a transmission shaft that had
a bearing spin on it , the heat caused it to get brittle
and the first load it broke, this was my experience and
may not be the same for everyone.

Bronze bushing runs on it. That shaft slides out rear of trans. May be wrong but if get outer snapring out then pull shaft back get other ring off then knock brg off should go rite on out thru upper pto shaft hole. Bushing in pto drum are bad too?

That shaft looks like its in bad shape. If you count on the tractor it would be wise to replace it. I believe the transmission from the 6600 is the same. I've had one through the shop, just haven't had the chance to take the transmission apart.

Yes the pto clutch bearing is toast. Got to change it for sure. Hoping the shaft comes out like ya say. Just wondering if all other components will stay put and not fall into the transmission. If this is at all possible.

If that is all bronze washing and wasting, I would try to polish the shaft and see how it cleans up. If the softer bronze comes off and leave a good surface,

If the shaft turns out buggered up, you have a different decision to make.

I did remove the snapring from the ball bearing assy and the one on the shaft pulled it out as far as it would go it hits on the hydraulic idler gear. The idler gear looks like it will move aft about an 1 1/2 if u remove the snapring from its shaft and remove the hydraulic pump. I'm still not to sure if things riding on that shaft will fall off. Guess I'll try it anyway. What will it hurt.

Put some plastic under it to catch filings. While the engine was running. Block sanded it down until smooth. Then run a small Arkansas stone over it. The shaft must have been an 1 1/16 inch. Now it measures 1.060 inch. About .003 material removed. Have a new bushing/sleeve on order. Going to see how good of a fit it will be. Thanks for all the suggestions. Will let yall know about how it works.

Did also overhaul the clutch pack. Has been working great for a while now. The Bushing/sleeve fit the clutch pack fine. Had to use a brake hone to fit it to the shaft. PTO good and strong has stalled the tractor once so far. I'm sure it has the old style shaft and splines. If that ever goes will change that out and a new bushing/sleeve.
