861 Rear Wheels

Just got an 861 Powermaster and of course the rear wheels are in rough shape. Pretty sure they are power adjust but have not seen many like them. 13.6 x 28 tires and about 4 1/2 inch center. Any info on what I could replace with appreciated.

Those are Ford power adjust (PA) rims. They are NLA.
There are aftermarket rims that will bolt solid to those centers.

Regular Ford centers will also bolt on in their place and allow
you to use the standard 6 loop rims.

Depending on where you're located you might find a good
used pair. I have a pair of them here in central Michigan.

Ford specific early power adjust rims. They have been unavailable new for decades.

Your options are finding good serviceable used rims, converting to the ubiquitous 6 loop rims by retrofitting with the common Ford 6 loop centers or, maybe, having a good welder repair your rim(s).

Thanks for the info Royse. I am in Central Mo so your used ones are probably not an option. May try to find the aftermarket that will bolt to my centers.

Those rims look repairable to me. You can't really tell until you have beat on them a little with a slag hammer to get the heavy rust off. If you don't plan to repair them at least offer them for sale to someone who may.

Do not discard the rims. As others have said, they are likely repairable. I am a total messy hacker wiht my welder, but I was able to repair mine very easily.

as said. might be repairable.

also.. someone ( can't remember who ) is now making a repair rim that will use your old odd spiral center.

Central MO as in where?? I have repaired many a rim over the years and some people told me I could never fix but I did any how. I am at the lake of the Ozarks by the way and e-mail is open. I also have a blank 28 inch rim around that is close to being new that you power adjust bars maybe able to be welded on to

Well it has finally happened, blew a tire and got to see what kind of shape the rims are in. Think it is repairable or do I need to look at other options?

from what I can see it is repairable. Some fabrication shops have a tool for rolling steel into any radius arc that you need. There is also metal bar yes bar stock available that is approx. 3/4 wide with a 2/3 circle cross section that could bridge between a new middle and the side.

All States now has them listed at https://www.external_link.com/11-x-28-Spin-Out-Rear-Rim-p/158482.htm
Not cheap @ $550 but at least they may be available!
