Ford Industrial compilation

I have a Ford Industrial 1801 with Ford loader
Engine is 172 diesel s/n 310609 (1958-59)
transmission is 631 <>119348<> 4-speed
rear diff is a CONN 4024 with PTO and 3-pt hitch. No. N140 on left axle.
Can anyone ID the date for transmission and rear diff?
The tractor was painted yellow after the 3 parts and loader were assembled. :?: Original paint schemes still viewable where yellow has worn off...

The trans is out of a 601 series model 631 1960. The trans was changed out. Most of the industrial I've seen
have either a sherman combo or reverser except of course the SOS. Does your tractor have a sherman? It's
possible the rear may have also been changed out. Can you post a photo of the tractor from the rear?

It's a heavy industrial 1801 or 4000. Cable steering on the 1801 (most have been changed out) Big hole in the
cowl up near the dash sez SOS before the change out to the 631 tranny. It's not likely you have a sherman in it
unless the 631 tranny already had one in there. The SOS had no sherman. Rear appears to be HD 801/1801 or 4000
not the 601 rear that would have came with the 631 tranny.

631 <>119348; That trans is from a 631 tractor built in May 1960

310609 is a engine casting number used in 1958 and 1959

That rear end looks to be out of the larger 801/1801 so it does not go with that trans.
Problem is it does not go with that engine either because N140 was cast on Dec 14 1960.

There are date codes all over that tractor. Follow the link for places you can find them.
