Was at TSC tonight and noticed a brand of hydraulic oil called Super S , Super Trac 303 Tractor Hydraulic Oil for $12.99. Has anybody used this stuff in their old Fords ?

HiYa Gray-
TSC sells a specific tractor hydraulic oil for old Ford Tractors -see picture. It is a little cheaper then the CNH 134D oil but seems to work OK. I have been using it for a few years and so far works good.

ya, I've used it.
that one is not the best stuff.
TheOldHokie can give you some specifics.
But when money is tight....it's better than the brown muck that is
usually in old tractors when you get them.
(and when I push them off the trailer, they aren't allowed to move under their own power until I get some kind of new oil in there)
Tractors that turn out to be good machines that are going to work hard, I treat that cheap stuff as a low budget flush. After I get done fixing everything up, test drives, I drain it out and put in something better.

May not work well in cold temperatures, of course these tractors hydraulics seem to be naturally sluggish when cold outside, more so with inexpensive hydraulic oil.

This has been repeated here often, the recommendation to use a fluid that meets the 134D specification, in all 3 compartments of 55-64 00/01 series tractors, as the oil seals can leak and fluids from each can mix.

The fluid shown below, is for N series transmissions, but if not, I am sure to be corrected.....

What tractor is this for ? seeing no one asked, that would help answer the question.

was wanting to drain all fluids from a Jubilee that I got last month is why I was asking about the Super Trac 303 hydraulic fluid. What about the Traveler fluid that TSC sells ???? The previous owner said he had been using a 134D equivalent and what's in there now is a red color.......

The one you want is labeled Traveller Premium tractor trans/hydraulic
fluid. If you read the label the compatibility list includes Ford
M2C134D. It is not red, but rather the color of, umm, oil. It can be
used in the hydraulic, transmission, and rear end compartments.

Andy, I think the name is actually Traveller Premium Universal Tractor/Trans Hydraulic Fluid. I would call the color "amber", but my wife says that it's actually a little more tan and a little less yellow than true amber.

Yes, thanks, sometimes when there is a long list of terms in a name I
I accidently leave something out. And your color description is a lot
more precise too!
