Ford Colors

Can anyone tell me when the ford Industrial tractors were painted( engine, trans, rear end) red and the sheet metal was a yellow(cream) color. And than when did they start doing them in the blue and the cream color. Jim in N.M.

I can't tell you specifically when but the light industrial models were the first to be called a 2000/4000. Ag models were still the 01 series and the heavy industrials were 1801s - in keeping with the 01 Series.
A friend of mine has a 2000 LCG that is Red and "Buff" as Ford called it.
Like the Cockshutt brand tractors it is a superb red/cream combo.

This doesn't answer your question directly but you might enjoy looking at this Ford Industrial Tractor and Equipment catalog 1962 for color schemes at that time.
