Ford 600 3 pt hitch

Hey guys. The 3pt hitch on my 600 doesn't work properly. When I first start the tractor up and slide the selector lever into the lift position. Most of the time the arms will go all the way up. Sometimes they will go half way up and you have to move the selector lever ahead slightly and then back to lift position and the arms will go up slightly. Have to repeat this step 3-4 times to get arms all the way up. If I move the selector lever forward at all the arms will go down as if it's in draft control. If I push the draft lever down so that' it is in draft control nothing happens when I move the selector lever. I have removed the full port and looked inside as the piston goes in and out and I don't observe any fluid spraying as if a seal went bad. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated

Sounds like the internal control linkage is out of adjustment and/or the cam follower pin (and cam itself) might be worn.

There is a guy in Minnesota or maybe it was Michigan that you can send your lift cover to for a complete rebuild and adjustment if you don't want to dive in too deep. I'm thinking about sending mine in this Winter. I'm certain my cam follower pin is worn. There was an ad in Craigslist. I have no affiliation and know nothing about their work. Just passing on the basic info I wrote down. Loren Fossum 507-301-8303.

Thanks guys. I actually found a ford guy that"s a few towns over that said same thing. That something is wore or out of adjustment in top cover. Tearing it apart this weekend and taking it over to him to fix. Thanks again
