Gauges quit working on the little 2600, took everything apart looking at it, have determined power leaves the key but does not arrive at the supply side of the inline fuse behind the gauge cluster. Is there another stop somewhere to check or can I just run another wire from the key to the fuse? Thanks ahead, Matt.

Thank you for the help. I got it fixed and sorted out everything else under there that needed it. Now only need one light bulb on the air flow light but that really isn't crucial for me I keep the filter clean. That little tractor is a hoss and I like to stay on top of what it needs... Don't know what's different but it runs like no other, just bleats and barks and likes to run... makes a fan out of anyone.

I found a loose connector on the switch, a shorted wire and a blown fuse... Thanks for your help. Matt.

can't remember without looking at my 3000/4600.. but if the high density connector is before the fuse... check that connection.

yes.. high density connector.

On that model it should be located , breaking the wiring harness right near the voltage regulator... IMHO.. that is before the fuse.. thus there may be a bad connection at the connector.

On second look at the harness, I think Rick is correct. look for a stub harness connection fromt he key over to the cluster.. should be a short run. that will be ahead and not involve that connector.

might be something you can razor blade open and check.

if you have power at the key connection, but not at the fuse, there is only a few inches of wire inbetween.

third party image

here is a pic of the online service parts breakdown. look at #4 that's the location of the vreg.. see that plug/connector there.. that's the plug in for the harness that connects to the dash cluster. I think the fuse is closer to the cluster. if so.. then that connector may be the issue / stoppage.

I'm all but certain the proofmeter cluster power goes from the key switch to the fuse and cluster without going back to the main/rear main harness connector SG is calling out.
Not enough conductors in that connector to carry that circuit, and no reason to go there.

on second look.. I see now that the wire while likely in the harness, is in a stub, upstream from the connector.. and for sure agree no reason to route it down and back vs just from the stub to main.

wiring 'picture' ont he parts site wasn't too descriptive. so I was thinking it might be a possibility if it was in the harness. If not, it shouldn't be hard to trace from switch to fuse.
