I saw a Ford chainsaw yesterday. When did they sell them? Where they sold in the tractor stores or auto dealerships? Thanks Steve

Not sure exactly what years, but I know they were sold in the '70's, and were sold in the tractor dealerships. My Grandpa had one. Wish we'd hung onto it, even just as a conversation piece.

A quick search says 1970 to 1976. There were 5 models. Hawk I,II,III and Eagle I,II.

They were sold with the lawn and garden equipment in the early 70's. Its odd to see one now for sure. We sold them new and I have somewhere, an ad in an event program, with one as part of the ad. Another one I can recall is the Ford salamander type heater, a friend spotted one on a job last winter, sent a few photos of it. There was also a log splitter, obviously all of these were re-branded, manufactured by others.

There was a rototiller,20or 21 inch push mower, snowblower, elertic and gas air compreser, gas water pump, high pressure washer. gen set. Proably something I forgot. I have roto tiller and gen set.
