ford naa clutch not fully releasing

I just installed a new clutch on a naa and it is not fully releasing. i adjusted it and got it better but it still not totally releasing.

Same thing happened to me when I rebuilt the engine in my NAA. Turned out that I had put the 'washers' on the wrong side of the pressure plate - they are actually spacers and go between the pressure plate and the flywheel. (It's been a while - I was a h.s. senior at the time.... but I still remember it) Worst part is, it means another split.

Did you put the clutch disk in the correct way?? If you put it in one way it will work correctly but if you put it in back wards it will not work as it should. Learned that the hard way in a 1971 GMC pick up. There is a flywheel side and pressure plate side and if you get hat back wards it will not work right
