860 narrow front to wide fron conversion

Would like to convert my 860 narrow front to a wide front. I think its a 1956 model has power steering to. Wondering what would be needed to complete this process? Any help would be awesome. Thanks

Never heard of a 860 with a narrow front . Now if it is a 960 yes or a 760

If your 860 has a narrow front I want to see it maybe even buy it . Likely you have a 960 rowcrop and that would require finding a wide front , involving the narrow front and bolting the wide front onto it , I would not swap to wide unless it is only a tractor ride type tractor as the wide front will not make it more stable and will not turn around nearly as well as a narrow front and the wide front is always in the way , my opinion.

I have located a wide front but question if it will bolt up to the current front support that the narrow front is attached to and if the steering components are interchangeable?

Do some reading in the archives about WF vs NF.
I think most of the fellows who have those row crops prefer them with the NF.
I have never owned one. Drove one around some. It was a WF.
I thought it was a big, ungainly thing. Too long. Bigger turning circle.
Drove a NF some too. Much more nimble. Shorter turning circle.
Your tractor, your call.

You will need to replace the front bolster with that from an 01 series. This will allow use of either the 01 series narrow front or the 01 series WF assembly.

if you don't sell your NF to kub640 i'd like to be 2nd in line to get pics and hear about the condition. I'm also looking for a spare narrow front.

I did just the opposite on mine and never looked back.
Changed from a WF to a NF.

Tom, where did you get that blue-it's the exact color my wife wants my 860 (yeah, not stock, don't care, lol)
