Got my 841 running but after 10 minutes or so the head is so hot that i can't hold my fingertips on it. I know the engine may run hotter than a worn engine due to
tightness of the new pistons and sleeves but this may be a bit much. My question is how hot are the Tigers meant to run. Just for comparison, i idled my MF35 with a Z134
gas engine for about ten minutes and the head was barely warm to the touch. I built the 35 about fifteen years ago. The radiator seems to show a lot of turbulence leading
me to believe that the water pump is moving the coolant through. The radiator is not new but i cleaned the fins and ran a hose through before using. Also the temperature
gauge isn't new either and the cable does not warm up.
thanks
