860 Hydraulic valving

I want to add a one arm FEL to my new(old) 860

This is what I have as far as hydraulics. What does this do and what will I need?

The pictured valve is a diverter valve.

It diverts the oil from the three point cylinder to the remote port.

It can be used to operate a FEL but the low capacity of the tractor hydraulic pump will result in slow FEL opoeration.

I had a 641 with a one arm loader on it that used that same diverter valve.
It wasn't fast but it was adequate for that type of loader.
I didn't really like the diverter valve. Perferred a regular remote valve.
But it did work and you could do some useful work with it.

It's not the valve that limits FEL speed but rather limited capacity of the tractor mounted hydraulic pump.

buffaloman- Pick up a front mounted hydraulic pump. It attaches the the front of the engine where the crankshaft pulley is. That is why there is a hole in the tin below the grill.

the onboard pump is more than adequate for a 1-arm loader operation.

I have a passel of 1-arms on my hobby farm. I even have moved round hay bales with them.

slow is a relative term. It takes (seconds) to cycle from full down to full up.

If it is a hyd boom, and trip dump, you have that 1 large cyl to deal with. Depending on rpm, you should be able to cycle that boom all the way up in 10 seconds.

if you hav ethe hyd bucket as well, you will need a valve capable of running a SA and a DA circuit. could be a cheap open center log splitter valve for 99$ from surplus center, and you could STILL run it off that diverter valve. just adding a return line to sump and the necesscarry lines to working ports for the cyls.
