NAA oil pressure line

My NAA oil pressure line has a leak in it. There is a short rubber section that is leaking. Anyone know where to get one of these? Looks to be same as many hundred series. Comes off back of engine run hydraulic pump. Seems strange as I would think there would not be engine oil in there.

(quoted from post at 13:27:00 08/31/15) What comes off of the back of the hydraulic pump is the cable that drives the proof meter (tachometer).

If that's really the line you're talking about, that is the mechanical cable to the proofmeter.

If you mean somewhere else and it really is the oil pressure line leaking, you can get a new gauge and the copper oil pressure line and fittings for less than $20 on eBay and I bet from here on YesterdaysTractors as well. There shouldn't be any rubber in your oil pressure gauge line.

just carefully cut the line at the rubber with a fine tooth saw, clean up the 1/8 tube with 1000 grit paper, wipe off, and put a 1/8 to 1/8 brass compression union in and union the metal line together. if the line is too short, splice in a new section at the union, etc.

This is not the proofmeter cable. It is an oil line on radiator side of pump. Just seems a strange place to get oil pressure. I will give the compression fitting a try. Saw that on another tractor I had. Like you mentioned could be tough to cut the line without damage. I am like a bull in a china shop when it comes to stuff like this.

To be sure of no confusion.

Radiator is at front of tractor.

Pump is on right rear of engine, oil pressure min is at a fitting on block, right next to hyd pump.

A fine tooth hacksaw blade in hand, or a dremel cutoff tool, or very carefull application if a tube cutter. Ream line with a small brillbit and fingers. Clean up and compression union. Easy fix.

Sorry for the confusion. It sure sounded like the description of where the proof meter cable attaches to the rear of the pump.

Maybe if you post some pictures.

I also fixed mine with a compression union on my loader tractor.
On my "trailer queen" I bought a new copper line from the local
car parts store made for an oil pressure gauge. Worked great.
Only thing is it can be a bear to get to behind the hyd pump.

If you don't find the fittings at your hardware, this site sells an oil pressure gauge oil tube kit.

I cut out the rubber line with a dremmel cutoff tool, cleaned up the ends really good with some fine grit sandpaper, used a samll drill bit to open up the ID and installed a 1/8" compression fitting. Leak stopped. I find it interesting it appears to me the line going to the engine is steel and the line going to the gauge is copper thus the reason for the rubber joint. Wonder why they did this. Thanks all for the help.

The lines are originally steel. Yours was repaired by replacing the damaged steel portion with copper. One way that they get damaged is by grounding a wrench when removing the positive battery terminal. Now how would I know that?
