Hi, we are new to this site, so far we've been lucky when repairing our 3910 tractor (diesel) ourselves, but we have a question.
How does one tell whether the fuel injector is bad, or if it's the whole pump that costs a lot of money!!
Here is what is going on with it.
It now has to be started with starting fluid, so we don't use it unless necessary. It will run after starting with the fluid, but only full out. If you take it down to idle, it dies.
Any help will be gratefully appreciated, considering the big difference in the price of the injector itself, and sending the whole pump off to be worked on, no one around here works on them.
thanks so much,
debi n david
