Hydraulic Problem ???

Hi all !
A few months ago you kindly helped me sort a problem with the hydraulics on my Ford 2600 tractor.
The tractor has a bucket loader fitted which I use for various things including lifting bundles of timber off the van which I pick up from the sawmill.
I've noticed lately it doesn't seem to have the power and will not lift the bundles as high as before. I don't think the wood is any heavier so what could be wrong ?
Thanks for looking- John

I don't know the cause but I would put a gauge on it and see what pressure you are making.
A good pump should put out 2500 lbs or so.
If you are making significantly less pressure than that it is likely your pump.
A cheap 4000 psi pressure gauge can be bought from Northern Tool, Ebay, Amazon, even this site for about $20 plus shipping.

Good place to start with the gauge. Thank you !!!

Shoot most any farm and home stores have those gauges also. I know the sort of local TSC and Orscheln's has them

could be an internal leak in one of the lift cylinders...does the bucket seem to curl with the same force as it used to? I had one do that, was slow and lacked power, I thought I had a bad pump but it had good pressure so I repacked the cylinders and all was well...Dan
