Hey guys I have a ford 600. The 3 pt hitch won't stay up unless the lever is all the way back in the up position. As soon as you move the lever forward any the arms start to go back down. When there's an implement attached it is real jerky picking it up. But won't pick up all the way. You have to slide the lever a head an inch and then pull all the way back to the up position several times to get it to go up all the way. I did take the fill port cap off and look inside while I operated the lever back and forth. I did not observe fluid spraying to indicate a bad deal which I originally thought. Thanks for any input

jerky lift points to pump issues, maybee bad springs, etc.

the oddness with lift resoloution and movement, may be badly worn cam pin and out of adjustment linkage, as well as possible improper draft/position setting.

I rebuilt the pump last year and everything worked as it should until this spring when I was plowing. I hooked a tree root and stalled the tractor. I then went to pickup the plow and the front end came off the ground. So I backed up and if my memory serves me right I've had this issue since. When I push the draft control lever down. Nothing happens. If that helps

A stuck draft control will cause it to jerk.

If you hit the stump hard enough you may have fouled the draft control and it may not be releasing. .By that I mean the top link could have slam home hard enough to jam things up. Take the top link off, spray the shaft and spring with a good penetrant and hit back on the top rocker. But don't hit it so hard as to break something.Dirt rust and age take there toll on the draft assembly.

Good Luck.

Gave that a whirl and nothing still does same thing. With draft control arm in the horizontal position it acts just like its in draft control. Arms raise up sometimes all the way and sometimes they only raise half way and then you have to move the lever ahead an inch and the back to up position a few times to get arms up all the way. With draft control arm down the arms do nothing. They just slowly go down even if they are in up position and you have control lever in up position.
