9600 Brakes Finally Fixed (I Think)

If you have read my past post, you know 1/2 of the story. My master cylinder was junk. CNH had a reman for $800. Couldn't stand that, found a new NAPA(M34404) match for $75. Problem fixed...I thought. The mineral oil brake fluid reqd did not set well with the rubber parts in my new M/C. Had to bite the bullet and buy the rebuild kit from CNH (got them down to $250), put those parts in my new NAPA M/C. I now have good brakes. I hope this is a long term fix. We'll see.

The kits are available aftermarket now for far less than the NH stealership.

I can't get the link to work but the master cylinder kit is $79.99 on ebay.

I'm all for saving money with quality aftermarket parts, I sell TISCO, A&I, Atlantic, Herschel, Sparex and probably some others. The only source I can readily find for that kit is Sparex.

And if that kit isn't any better than 75% of the parts I've gotten from Sparex to resell, It isn't worth getting involved with.

I spent quite a bit of effort at work to set up an account with Sparex and it had been disappointing as a whole. They have some good stuff, a fair amount of mediocre or less stuff, and poor customer service when product does not meet expectations.
