Auction this Saturday near Chippewa Falls, WI with
what appears to be a heavy duty industrial 4000 (4-
cylinder) with an Elenco front axle, loader and
backhoe. Auction bill lists it as a 2000 industrial.

I was just looking at the pictures... as much as I could on this little screen. Looks like a lot of stuff will be scrapped or become parts donors. If I had time, I'd go, just to see what stuff brings. But the forecast looks good, so I'll either be combining or baling.

I just got one of those tractors. Is a 1963 Ford 4040 Industrial, I need the short drive shaft on the front left to complete the 4wd. It has a front loader but no pto or 3pt arms. I'm complentating on fixing or selling. What are these tractors worth?

Twenty some years ago I saw one of those on a trailer at a gas station about fifty miles away. I talked to the guy. He said it ran really good, He got it off the market bulletin about five miles from me for short money.

Looks like a good truck mounted backhoe. Bucket rests comfortably on the front bumper. Those VW Type 3 coupes are highly sought after, but it might be a sale where no one will appreciate them. Also a save-able early Mercedes 180 or 190.

My brother had one of those VW fastback coupes back when he was young and crazy and jumping out of planes for the army. Him and his buddies rolled it driving back to base after leave one weekend and it was totalled.

Only things that ran were the 706 and skid steer. I went and 98 percent of things with pistons were scrapped.it was very sad but with milk prices I was glad to get a chili dog and a water. The ford was decaled a 2000 but the 4wd pumpkin was empty missing the drive shafts sos lever was tore up went for a grand I believe I know when they towed to the line they said rear wheels wouldn't turn

"rear wheels wouldn't turn"

That's because they weren't familiar enough with that tractor to disconnect the traction disconnect. Select-O-Speed transmissions remain in Park, or go to it, whenever the engine is not running.

That's no 2000, even if it is decaled as such! It's a heavy duty 4000 industrial!

Thank you,I'm sorry I know little bout
the older fords and nothing about the sos
trans. It had a different looking engine
in it than my 4000 row crop. Looked more
like the older 3 number number series
engine's to me. But anyways thanks for
teaching me something new today!
