I have a ford 6700 FEL 2WD it is impossible yo get engine at moment in Australia, a wreckers say they have a fully rebuilt block out of a 5000 I just need to bolt my head, injector pump ect on the block it is same 4cyl engine as my 6700.was just wondering if this is the case. Any advice or info would be appreciated thanks

Some late 5000's had a rotary injection pump, which uses a different timing gear (tapered hub), and different lines. Otherwise, it should work OK.

That would depend.... on what 5000 block they're talking about. If it's a late 256 with an inline injection pump then yeah.. I think it would be fairly straight ahead if the head bolts are the same size. Just make sure you use a head gasket appropriate for the block so you don't bugger up the piston protrusion specs...
Again, I've never made the changes you're talking about but as far as I know it should work. Just make sure you don't get involved with an early 5000's 233 cid block. I do not believe that will work for you. I would suggest you spend some time in the parts online and check some part numbers to ascertain what will supercede and what will not before you buy...
